<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferryboat to cross a river for safe movement between both banks of the river using its stream of water; and to solve a problem wherein it is difficult to achieve a large unpowered ferryboat. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A kingpin 1 attached to a firm fixed structure on a river bank and a kingpin 7 attached on a deck at a position around one third of the length of the ferryboat from its stem are connected by using movable connectors 6, swivels 5, and a towing rope 4. Steering a plurality of rudders 10 attached to a stern of the ferryboat 9 (basically a catamaran) enables its unpowered stable movement using the stream. Attaching the kingpin 7 at the position around one third of the length of the ferryboat 9 from the stem dramatically extends a movable width of the ferryboat compared to conventional ferryboats using the rope and the stream. As basically the catamaran is employed as the ferryboat, it copes with depths of the river and provides stability, thereby capable of being formed in a large size. The ferryboat is environmentally friendly as it uses no fuel and produces no CO<SB>2</SB>.
