<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating drying device for a coated plate for a coating evaluation test, capable of raising a temperature of the coated plate to a desired temperature by induction heating. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The coating drying device is equipped with a casing 2, a top plate 3 equipped on a top face of the casing 2, a work coil 7 disposed below the top plate 3 in an interior of the casing 2, and a control means 8 for supplying current to the work coil 7. The top plate 3 has a mounting recessed part 4 for mounting the coated plate, a small window 5 for a sensor blocked by a cover glass 11 is formed in a bottom portion of the mounting recessed part 4, the work coil 7 is mounted below the mounting recessed part 4 in the casing 2, a temperature sensor 6 for detecting a temperature of the coated plate mounted in the mounting recessed part 4 is disposed below the work coil 7 and below the small window 5, and the current supplied to the work coil 7 is controlled by the control means 8 while detecting the temperature of the coated plate disposed in the mounting recessed part 4.
