PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with excellent operability, which allows a user to confirm a focusing state estimated by the user or not, and can perform focusing to the focusing state estimated by the user. SOLUTION: A subject which the user tries to focus on is located on a part of a target mark at the center of an imaging screen. When STOP operation is then performed, image data of the subject in the part of the target mark is acquired. The acquired image data is stored. When STOP operation is performed again, image data of the subject in the part of the target mark at that time are acquired. Thereafter, focusing and then imaging are performed, and when a part similar to the stored two image data is present in image data obtained as a result of the imaging, images based on the two similar image data are simultaneously enlarged and displayed in line.
