摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric composite substrate that dispenses with the need of making through-holes or the like on the substrate for printed circuit board for the purpose of input/output of light from a core, and that forms an optical waveguide with lamination of two layers of transparent resin. SOLUTION: The photoelectric composite substrate includes a printed circuit board 3 formed by installing an electrical circuit 2 on one side of a transparent substrate 1 which is manufactured by impregnating, with the glass fiber base material, a resin composition adjusted to substantially the same refractive index as a glass fiber base material and by curing it. Also, the photoelectric composite substrate includes an optical waveguide 9 having the transparent substrate 1 as the first cladding CL1 and having a second cladding CL2 that is formed by laminating a transparent resin 4 with a higher refractive index than that of the transparent substrate 1 on the side of the transparent substrate 1 without the electrical circuit 2 arranged, and that is formed, in a place corresponding to the light receiving/emitting face 6 of a light receiving/emitting element 5 mounted by connecting to the electrical circuit 2, by laminating a core CO with a mirror 7 arranged for deflecting an optical path in the direction of the light receiving/emitting face 6 and, over the core CO, a transparent resin 8 with substantially the same refractive index as that of the transparent substrate 1 on the surface of the transparent substrate 1, covering the core CO.
