<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster not increasing the whole weight of the caster without reducing braking force of a swinging braking mechanism and a rotation braking mechanism, not exposing a surface of metal and not requiring application of surface treatment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the caster, wheels 3, 3 are rotatably mounted to both side parts of a frame 2 made of metal die casting mounted to a lower part of a spindle 1 and at least one of the swinging braking mechanism 4 of the frame 2 or the rotation braking mechanism 5 of the wheels 3, 3 is provided on the frame 2 between these wheels 3, 3. A front part of the frame 2, both side surface parts not covered by the wheels 3, 3 of the frame 2 and a part of a rear surface part of the frame 2 between the wheels 3, 3 are covered by a cover 6 made of synthetic resin.
