PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer for analyzing a sample without generating a spectrum data, and reducing a measurement time. SOLUTION: The analyzer includes: an energy ray irradiating section for irradiating the sample with an energy ray; an optical detecting section for measuring a strength of a light emitted from the sample irradiated with the energy ray; an optical filter having a characteristic for providing a correspondence of 1:1 between a wavelength of the light and a transmittance in an analysis wavelength range; an optical filter moving section for movably installing the optical filter on a path of the light received by the light detecting section or an optical filter indicating section for indicating the optical filter installed on or removed from the path of the light received by the light detecting section; and a calculating section for receiving an output signal from the light detecting section, and calculating a ratio of the strength of the light transmitted through the optical filter based on the output signal indicating the strength A of the light emitted from the sample measured on the condition that the optical filter is not installed and the output signal indicating the strength B of the light emitted from the sample measured on the condition that the optical filter is installed.
