<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector or the like appropriately suppressing vibrations due to audio output. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The projector 100 includes: an audio amplification part 150 for generating an amplified audio signal by amplifying an audio signal; an audio output part 152 for outputting an audio sound based on the amplified audio signal; a determination part 160 for determining whether a value based on the audio signal or the amplified audio signal satisfies a first vibration generation condition; an optical disk part 120 for reading information recorded in the optical disk; a vibration detection part 180 for detecting vibration of the optical disk part 120 to generate a vibration value based on the vibration; a determination part 162 for determining whether the vibration value satisfies a second vibration generation condition; and a control unit 170 for performing control so as to reduce the amplification degree of the audio signal by the audio amplification part 150 when the determination result of the determination part 160 is true and the determination result of the determination part 162 is true.
