PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holder capable of reducing the number of components of a moving means for moving a holder base and capable of reducing cost, and to provide its moving structure and a fusion splicing machine. SOLUTION: The invention relates to an optical fiber holder for holding an optical fiber and to its moving structure and a fusion splicing machine. The optical fiber holder includes: a face Fs to be guided, which is freely movably guided along the longitudinal direction of an optical fiber with respect to a placing object for freely attachably/detachably placing the optical fiber holder; and includes a magnetic attraction body for making it attracted to a fixed magnetic attraction body that is fixed to the placing object. The optical fiber holder after the movement can be moved by the magnetic attracting force that works between the magnetic attraction body and the fixed magnetic attraction body, with the face Fs to be guided pressurized to the placing object.
