PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio LAN system capable of dissolving instability and reducing unneeded power when a certain device joins a PicoNet. SOLUTION: In the short range radio communication method using a super frame, a beacon includes information relating to the time until the next beacon time starts, and a communication terminal which newly joins the PicoNet decodes the information relating to the time until the next beacon time starts, which is included in the beacon, thus tentatively stops the decoding of received information and starts decoding information received at the start of the next beacon or prescribed time before the start of the next beacon time.
