PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition that exhibits: good stain resistance over a long period of time so that the coating film thereof is less stained on the surface caused by adsorption of dust or oily substances in the air, particularly can be prevented from staining from immediately after the formation of a coating film, when the coating film from an aqueous coating is exposed to outdoors, and hardly leaves rain striation after rainfall; and good preservation stability of a coating liquid. SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises (A) an aqueous resin dispersion A obtained by polymerizing anα,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, (B) an aqueous resin composition B having as a fundamental skeleton polyethylene oxide-polyalkylene oxide-polyethylene oxide (the number of carbon atoms in the alkylene chain being 3 or more), and (C) water-dispersed colloidal silica C.
