<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to grasp the reading result of a manuscript easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processor includes: an original mounting platform for placing an original document; and a reading unit 30 for reading the image of the original document placed on the original mounting platform arranged opposite the original mounting platform. A display unit for displaying the image is formed on the original mounting platform. Since the display unit for displaying the image is formed on the original mounting platform, the operator grasps the reading result of the original document easily, in such a state that an original document of an indeterminate form is placed on the original mounting platform with the reading face being turned upwards.
