<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately change a current position of a folder structured play list of a tree structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a music playback controller requests an operating music player for the current position of the folder structured play list of the tree structure, the music player informs the current position stored in it. (Step S202). When the informed current position is a folder ("route folder" and "album list" folder in Step S203), the music playback controller shifts the current position to the play list (Step S104, S106) then plays the music in the play list (Step S108). When the informed current position is a play list ("play list 1" in Step S203), the music playback controller plays the music in the play list (Step S108) without shifting the current position.
