<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternating current-to-direct current conversion device, and the like, wherein it is possible to detect abnormality (failure and deterioration due to aging) in an element, such as a reactor, a rectifier, and to provide a switch, in a converter without use of a special reactor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The alternating current-to-direct current conversion device includes: a converter 3 that rectifies alternating-current voltage from an alternating-current power supply 2 into direct-current voltage; a reactor 4 connected in series with the converter 3; a vibration-measuring means 5 that measures the vibration of the reactor 4; a vibration-acquiring means 10 that analyzes the vibration measured at the vibration-measuring means 5 to acquire vibration data; and an abnormality-detecting means 11 that detects an abnormality in the reactor 4 or the converter 3, based on vibration data acquired at the vibration-acquiring means 10.
