PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a node setting state in response to a path setting request by monitoring transmission quality that is one of items restricting optical multicast communication path settings.

SOLUTION: The present invention includes: an input multiplexed signal control means for demultiplexing an input multiplexed signal; a switch function means for connecting an optical signal input part and an output part in 1:N correspondence (N is a natural number); an output multiplexed signal control means for multiplexing signals from the switch function means; and a control function means for controlling a switching operation, wherein the switch function means includes a branching ratio variable optical switch and a means for changing a branching ratio of the branching ratio variable optical switch in accordance with an instruction from the control function means. The branching ratio variable optical switch is provided at a node, so that an input part or an output part of the node includes a function for monitoring optical signal quality.
