PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical apparatus or a lighting system for easily coping with miniaturization and thinning of constituent members by using a holding structure different from the conventional fitting structures and a holding method due to tape adhesion.

SOLUTION: In the electrooptical apparatus 100 including an electrooptical panel 120 and holding bodies 101, 102, 103 holding the electrooptical panel 120, the electrooptical panel 120 is held with the holding body 102 by being engaged with a flexible extension material 105.
