METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTION OF ELECTRIC MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and an inspection apparatus capable of accurately determining the presence or absence of anomalies of an electric motor 6 on the basis of vibrations or operating sound of the electric motor 6.

SOLUTION: An acceleration pickup 17 mounted to a non-rotating part of the electric motor 1 through the use of a magnetic attractive force detects vibrations of the electric motor 1. Its detection signals are transmitted to a filter part 19 via an amplification part 18 to perform filter processing in which only signals of a frequency band containing a prescribed order component of the rotation frequency of the electric motor 6 are passed. Detection signals after the filter processing are transmitted to a signal processing part 20, and envelope processing is performed on the detection signals to perform frequency analysis and obtain a frequency spectrum. The frequency spectrum is transmitted to a determination part 21 to determine the presence or absence of anomalies by comparing the level of the prescribed order component of the rotation frequency contained in the frequency spectrum with a previously set threshold value and solve the problem.
