<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolving frame protection device which facilitates repair and replacement operations on the occurrence of damage, and which is equipped with a side guard for increasing strength and mounting strength against an impact. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Welding makes mounting seats 16 with a threaded hole 17 fixed to a plurality of locations on outer peripheral side surfaces of side frames 10 and 11 which form both the vehicle-width-direction sides of the revolving frame 13 of upper machinery; the side guard 15 is fastened and fixed to the side frames 10 and 11 by a bolt 22 for being screwed into the threaded hole 17; and the number of the mounted side guards 15 can be changed depending on the lengths of the side frames 10 and 11. In addition, the side guard 15 is formed in a vertically and horizontally symmetrical block shape from a composite material made of a metallic material and a rubber material.
