<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet aligning device capable of restricting a displacement between paper sheets in the conveying direction to the minimum, capable of handling at a high speed and capable of stably conveying paper sheets when aligning a plurality of paper sheets and changing the conveying direction to deliver the paper sheets to a post-treatment device, and to provide an image forming system using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This paper sheet aligning device aligns a plurality of paper sheets by stacking them, and turns a distal end and a rear end of the paper sheets, and thereafter, when changing the conveying direction of the paper sheets and delivering the paper sheets to the paper sheet post-treatment device, a change of the conveying direction of the paper sheets and conveyance thereof are performed by pinching the paper sheets with an endless belt wound around a plurality of rollers and a turnable opposite conveying member facing the belt and abutting thereon.
