PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for coating a wire, particularly a telephone wire cable, and a connecting wire between or in electronic devices. SOLUTION: The radiation curable resin composition for coating a wire contains the following components (A) and (B): (A) urethane(meth)acrylate which is a reactant of polyester polyol represented by formula (1), polyisocyanate and hydroxyl group containing (meth) acrylate; and (B) a compound having a cyclic structure and one ethylenic unsaturated group. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are any divalent hydrocarbon groups derived from dihydric alcohol; p is a number of 2 to 8; n is selected so that a number-average molecular weight of the polyester polyol ranges from 400 to 3,000.
