The method involves positioning a front face (3) of an added article (1) on a surface (4a) of a vacuum molding mold. Skin (6) is positioned in front of a rear face (2) of the article. Sucking force is applied on the skin to enclose a portion of the rear face with the skin. Fluid material (7) is injected between the skin and another surface (4b) of the mold to form an insert. The skin is perforated by a fixing element (8) of the article during the application of sucking force. A portion of the element to be molded in the fluid material is provided during injection of the material. An independent claim is also included for an interior covering element of a motor vehicle, comprising an insert.
