PURPOSE: A multiple antenna wireless communication system for determining an adaptable downlink transmission mode are provided to maximize data transmission rate by selecting a down link transmission mode adaptably. CONSTITUTION: A base station decides a downlink transmission mode. The base station selects the type of feedback information. The base station offers the type of feedback information to a terminal. The terminal creates the feedback information. The terminal periodically offers the feedback information to the base station. The base station offers the feedback time information to the terminal. The terminal offers the feedback information to the base station non-periodically.
