<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having a low melt viscosity and capable of giving an image with gloss even in a high-speed fixing and having excellent storage stability and stress resistance by appropriately using a resin having a rigid and straight skeleton, and to provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus using the toner, and a process cartridge for the method. <P>SOLUTION: The toner satisfies expressions of W(3000)≤20,4000≤Mp≤10,000 Rt(Mp)/Rs(Mp)>0.98, wherein W(3000) (wt.%) represents a proportion of a fraction having a molecular weight of not more than 3,000 in a tetrahydrofuran-soluble component of the toner by a GPC-RALLS-viscometer analysis, Mp represents the peak top in the main peak of molecular weight, Rt(Mp) represents the squared radius of inertia at Mp, and Rs(M) represents a squared radius of inertia of straight-chain polystyrene by GPC-RALLS-viscometer analysis on a THF-soluble component (where M represents an absolute molecular weight of the straight-chain polystyrene). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
