<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste kneading and defoaming apparatus that can easily and surely perform the rotational balance adjustment of a rotating body for revolution and can surely perform the desired kneading and defoaming of a pasty material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paste kneading and defoaming apparatus includes a rotational balance adjustment mechanism 35 comprising two balance load members 36A and 36B whose gravitational centers are situated at positions which are opposite to, with respect to the revolutionary central position in a state in which the paste container holder holds the paste container 60, the gravitational center position of a paste container holder 30 installed rotationally on a rotary body for revolution in the horizontal plane and which are situated in directions different from each other across the extension of a straight line connecting between the gravitational center of the paste container holder and the revolution center position, and a position adjustment mechanism 40 that adjusts the rotational balance of the revolutionary rotation body by adjusting the opening angle between the two lines connecting between the gravitational center positions of the balance load members and the gravitational center position by turning the balance load members around the central axis A for revolution.
