<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for tightly attaching a rubber-made cylindrical covering material over a cylindrical rising part of a trap for securing water sealing performance in the method wherein the trap is regenerated by covering the rubber-made cylindrical covering material on an inner/outer surfaces of the corroded cylindrical rising part of a bowl-trap type drain trap. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method for regenerating the drain trap wherein the cylindrical rising part 2 of the bowl-trap type drain trap is dried and cleaned and then the rubber-made cylindrical covering material 3 is inserted into the cylindrical rising part 2 to be in tight contact with the inner surface, thermosetting resin coating is coated on the inner/outer surfaces of the cylindrical rising part 2 of the trap before attaching the rubber-made cylindrical covering material 3. Then, the rubber-made cylindrical covering material 3 is attached within a usable time of the coating. Furthermore, a rubber tube is inserted into the cylindrical rising part to be pressurized and expanded by air, so as to enhance the adhesion of the rubber-made cylindrical covering material and the cylindrical rising part of the trap.
