<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly receive rotating operation while elongating a life of a device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an operation body 81 held in free rotation on a supporting body, a rotation detecting means for detecting the rotation of the operation body 81, and a pushing detection means for detecting a pushing operation to the operation body 81. The rotation detecting means is provided with a magnet 82 of which the N pole and the S pole are magnetized alternately and arranged to move together with the operation body 81 and a GMR sensor 4 positioned opposed to the magnet 82 with a predetermined interval, and a magnetic field by the magnet 82 moving in conjunction with the rotation of the operation body 81 is detected by the GMR sensor 81.
