PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform OFDM demodulation without requiring symbol synchronization. SOLUTION: An OFDM modulation/demodulation method in a transmission system for transmitting data from a transmission source to a transmission destination by OFDM modulation/demodulation includes: a step S1 for allowing a transmission source to extend a symbol section by copying an OFDM modulation symbol subjected to OFDM modulation to a prescribed place in the OFDM modulation symbol by only prescribed length; a step S2 for allowing the transmission source to transmit the OFDM modulation symbol including the extended symbol section to a transmission destination; a step S3 for allowing the transmission destination to receive the OFDM modulation symbol from the transmission source and to try OFDM demodulation to the received OFDM modulation symbol from a plurality of points in time; and a step S4 for allowing the transmission destination to select the demodulation result of the OFDM demodulation to be adopted, based on the demodulation result of the OFDM demodulation from the plurality of points in time.
