PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device for a rotation shaft allowing for easily performing attaching/detaching from the rotation shaft and pressure-welding a strain gauge sensor to the outer peripheral surface of the rotation shaft with an appropriate pressure even when the rotation shaft is rotated. SOLUTION: Each of a pair of half bodies 2a and 2b fastened to each other on both sides of a part Xa to be measured of the rotation shaft X is provided with an arcuate member 10 having a circular arc surface 10a coming into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the part Xa to be measured. A sensor holding section 5 fixing the strain gauge sensor 4 via a thin-plate-like elastic member 18 is locked to the half bodies 2a and 2b by a locking mechanism 6 so that the strain gauge sensor 10 is pressure-welded to the outer peripheral surface of the part Xa to be measured with a predetermined pressure without relying on centrifugal force occurring when the rotation shaft X is rotated.
