Provided is an information processing apparatus for selecting the feature value to be used for classification of input data from a plurality of feature values extracted from the input data.  The information processing apparatus has a generation means for generating a plurality of combinations by combining the plurality of feature values, a first calculation means for calculating a first evaluation value for evaluating the compatibility for classification of the input data with respect to each of the plurality of combinations, and a second calculation means for obtaining a second evaluation value for evaluating the compatibility for classification of the input data with respect to each of the plurality of feature values on the basis of the first evaluation value.
