PURPOSE: A broadcast reception device based on DCAS and a security reinforcing method thereof are provided to exactly confirm the forgery or modification of a DCAS(Downloadable Conditional Access System) host module by verifying the integrity of DCAS host module through block unit division about components. CONSTITUTION: An SM(Secure Micro) module(300) obtains a control word through an ECM(entitlement control message) or EMM(entitlement management message). The SM module performs authentication related functions of a broadcasting receiver. A DCAS host module(310) performs message routing with the SM module and network resource management function. A first verifying unit(330) verifies the integrity of the DCAS host module through the connection with a second verifying unit(334) according to a challenge-response algorithm. |
