MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR SOCKET WELD SPECIMEN CONTAINING THE FATIGUE CRACK

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for a socket welding object for simulating a fatigue crack is provided to accurately verify the skill of an inspector and the performance of a nondestructive inspection device by accurately controlling the position and size of the fatigue crack. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a socket welding object for simulating a fatigue crack is as follows. A weldment(10) for crack is formed on the socket welding part between a pipe(12) and a fitting(11). The weldment for crack is completely fractured and then the crack(C) is surveyed and recorded. The crack is temporarily welded. A finish weldment(W) is formed around the weldment for a crack in order to prevent exposure of the crack, thereby completing a test piece.
