The system has a receiver unit (EE) receiving a data packet e.g. Ethernetdata packet, where the packet is allocated to a packet-priority class described by a data field of the packet. A processing unit (VE) is attached to the receiver unit such that the packet-priority class of the packet is determined and the packet-priority class is mapped to a channel priority class according to a preset mapping relation. A media oriented systems transportdriver unit (MT) transmits the packet over a packet channel of a data bus according to the channel priority class.
