<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display device of a low cost, which can install individual light sources properly and easily even if the number of installation of the light sources is increased. Also provided is a manufacturing method for the display device. The liquid crystal display device (1) comprises a liquid crystal panel (2) having a CF substrate (4) and an array substrate (5) (a pair of substrates). The display device further comprises an LED (a light source) (9), and a light guide plate (10) disposed so as to receive the light from the LED (9) and so as to face the liquid crystal panel (2), for projecting the incident light to the liquid crystal panel (2). The array substrate (5) is provided with an installation portion (5b) for installing the LED (9) in a manner that the LED (9) faces the light guide plate (10).</p> |
