PURPOSE: A method for fermenting phytoncide from Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves is provided to ensure freshness and to remove odor and fungi. CONSTITUTION: A method for fermenting phytoncide comprises: a step of collecting and washing Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves from December to February; a step of drying the leaves on a wooden table for 10 to 30 days; and a step of fermenting in a jar at 20-30°C for 60 to 70 hours. The fermentation is performed together with loess. |
