摘要 <p>An electric vehicle comprising batteries which can be charged from an external power supply, a battery charger, a battery charger control section for controlling the battery charger, and a battery control section for monitoring the states of the batteries, wherein an energy loss during the charging is reduced to improve a charging efficiency. A hybrid vehicle which is the electric vehicle is provided with a charging circuit including a battery charger (60) connected to a high-voltage battery (36) and an electrical charge-time connection switch (54) connected between the high-voltage battery (36) and the battery charger (60), a battery charger ECU (62), and a battery ECU (42).  The battery ECU (42) is activated when a voltage signal is inputted, and, when determining that the state of the high-voltage battery (36) satisfies a chargeable condition, connects the electrical charge-time connection switch (54), activates the battery charger ECU (62), and transmits a signal indicating the states of the batteries to the battery charger ECU (62).</p>
