The method involves applying a precursor on a region of a solid electrolyte layer (110), where the precursor comprises an oxidizable metal i.e. metallic aluminum. A reaction sintering process is performed so that the metal partially performs an oxidation reaction with a surrounding component, and an insulation material is formed. A conductive element is arranged on the layer. An insulation layer and an electrically conductive layer are formed on the solid electrolyte layer. The insulation layer contains the insulation material, and the electrically conductive layer contains the metal.
