The present invention discloses a channel information feedback apparatus and method for generating multiple antenna beams in an OFDM system. The apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a transformer which transforms estimated channel information by using a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) matrix and a transmit antenna correlation antenna; a quantizer which generates a vector containing preset numbers of main elements of the transformed channel information, and quantizes the generated vector based on a quantization codebook to generate feedback information for transmit beam forming; and a feedback unit for feeding the generated feedback information back to a transmitter. Whereby, the present invention decreases the volume of feedback information, and improves system performance.
