The invention relates to a method and device for a preliminary sleep medicine diagnosis and therapy monitoring. According to the method and the device for sleep phase detection, the sleep phases are subdivided into three phases deep, shallow and not-shallow or into two sleep phases deep and not-deep following a respiratory sound analysis. The method of the invention is characterized by recording respiratory sounds by means of a microphone system and using the same for sleep phase detection according to a neuronal spectral mean and RMS method. |
