Disclosed is a combined remote control receiver and infrared communication apparatus. The infrared communication apparatus of the present invention can process infrared signals transmitted in different data formats from a remote control and an external source apparatus by using a single infrared sensor and a preamplifier. The electronic device comprising the infrared communication apparatus of the present invention can receive and process not only the remote control signal but also the source signal from the external source apparatus through an infrared communication scheme, thus eliminating the necessity of a terminal that is exposed to the outside for communication with the source apparatus for firmware modification or the like, and achieving improved manager operation convenience or the like. |
