The probe (1) has a cylindrical shaped tubular body (10) with a lateral wall (11) defining a lumen (12). A part of the body is introduced inside the brain of patient body to reach a region to be simulated. Each of a set of arms (32) carries a simulation planar electrode (40) and passes from a position in which the arms are housed inside the tubular body to another position in which the arms are radially projected from the wall using a spring (20) and a rod e.g. rigid stylet. The arms are connected together by a tubular shaped base element arranged inside the lumen.
