Protective element for drinks cans, comprising a blind, rigid cylindrical body, designed to bind tightly to the drinks can (2) preferably covering its upper part; with sufficient capacity to contain at least 50% of the product, the edge (1a) of which is adjusted with an adhesive sealing strip (3) or similar, and with a screw hermetic sealing system (4) or pressure hermetic sealing system, having an additional part (5) that enables it to be bound. It would be possible to create a false bottom or compartment (6) between the bottom of the protective element (1) and the base of the can (2) to which said protective element (1) is bound, to be used to include some sort of small object or promotional item or gift.
