2-ELECTRODES TYPE ORGANIC THIN FILM TRANSISTOR AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An organic thin film transistor of a two electrode structure and a driving method thereof are provided to implement low cost driving with a simple structure using a light source irradiating light instead of a gate electrode and a gate insulating layer. CONSTITUTION: An organic active layer(101) is formed on a flexible substrate(100). A drain electrode and source electrode(103, 102) are formed on the organic active layer. A light source(104) excites electrical charges in the organic active layer by irradiating light to the organic active layer. The flow of a current between the source electrode and the drain electrode is controlled as the light is irradiated to the organic active layer. The organic active layer uses a monocrystal organic active layer.
