The device (100) has a power inverter (120) and a direct current-direct current converter (130) for converting electrical power of a concentrator photovoltaic generator (110) into electrical output power. Correction-controllers (150, 160) control tracking-kinematics actuators (170, 180), respectively, such that orientation of the generator to the sun is modified in two directions corresponding to the electrical output power, which is maximum. The power inverter and the current converter supply the electrical output power to an energy supply network (125). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a concentrator photovoltaic generator (2) a computer program having instructions to perform a method for operating a concentrator photovoltaic generator.
