<p>Preparing a chlorine dioxide solution (11), comprises contacting at least two reactants (2, 3), preferably sodium chlorite solution and dilute hydrochloric acid, within a protective fluid (6), preferably water, in a reaction vessel (4) separated from the protective fluid and bounded with this by at least an outlet. The reaction vessel is filled at least partly with the reactants. The reactants remain after the competition of the filling processes over a given reaction time in the reaction vessel. The formed chlorine dioxide in the reaction vessel is released in the protective fluid. An independent claim is also included for a system designed for producing chlorine dioxide solution, comprising protective fluid fillable container (5), a reaction vessel exhibiting at least an outlet, in the container, and storage tanks outside the container, having at least two reactants. The reaction vessel for filling is bounded with the storage tank. At least one pumping device, preferably a scavenging pump, is provided for the supply of protective fluid to the reaction vessel and for the removal of formed chlorine dioxide solution from the reaction vessel.</p> |
