DEVICE FOR INSTRUCTING DRIVER TO PERFORM DRIVE OPERATION FOR ENHANCING FUEL EFFICIENCY

Disclosed is a device for instructing a driver to perform a drive operation for enhancing fuel efficiency.  With regard to an operation for driving a vehicle, a first region which is set as a region representing an operating state with a good fuel efficiency, and a second region which is set contiguously to the first region as a region representing an operating state with a poor fuel efficiency are indicated so as to be able to be distinguished visually in one direction with respect to a predetermined reference position; and, with regard to the brake operation of the vehicle, a third region which is set as a region representing an operating state with a good fuel efficiency, and a fourth region which is set contiguously to the third region as a region representing an operating state with a poor fuel efficiency are indicated so as to be able to be distinguished visually in an other direction with respect to the predetermined reference position.  An indication figure that can be elongated is provided at the reference position.  Length of the indication figure is altered, respectively, for a drive operation and a brake operation based on the operating state of the vehicle according to the operation so that the driver can recognize whether each drive operation is performed with a good fuel efficiency or not.
