GAMMA CORRECTION SYSTEM AND CORRECTION METHOD THE SAME

PURPOSE: A gamma correction system and a correction method the same are provided to improve the correction efficiency and reliability of gamma by shortening a correction time of a gamma. CONSTITUTION: A gamma correction system comprises a luminance detection unit(32) and a gamma compensation circuit(20). The illuminance detection unit extracts the luminance from each image of a display panel. The image is displayed on the display panel by two gray scale levels. A gamma compensation circuit averages luminance data. The gamma compensation circuit selects gamma correction data. The gamma compensation circuit corrects the gamma voltage of an image display.
