A hinge having two bases (2A/2B) on which a plurality of hollow cylinders (8) are arranged axially and spaced along each of the bases. Fixer holes (12) are provided in the bases at the spaces (10) between the cylinders to enable the hinge to be mounted directly without the need to work the mounting surface.
