A liquid crystal display includes: an active matrix substrate (20a) on which a plurality of wirings (19b) for a first touch panel are disposed such that the wirings extend parallel to one another; an opposing substrate (30a) on which a plurality of wirings (25a) for a second touch panel are disposed so as to extend the wirings (25a) parallel to one another in the direction to cross the wirings (19b) for the first touch panel, the opposing substrate (30a) being provided opposite the active matrix substrate (20a); a liquid crystal layer (40) disposed between the active matrix substrate (20a) and the opposing substrate (30a) and having alignment films (9a) and (9b) on opposite sides thereof; and a plurality of touch pins (P) disposed in a columnar manner so as to contact the wirings (19a) for the first touch panel or the wirings (25a) for the second touch panel respectively, wherein at least a part of the top of each touch pin (P) is provided with a cissing characteristic with respect to the alignment films (9a) and (9b).
