METHOD FOR CONTROLLING UPLINK POWER FOR MULTI-CELL COOPERATIVE RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND TERMINAL SUPPORTING THE METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for controlling an uplink power for a multi-cell cooperative radio communication system and a terminal supporting the method are provided to prevent unnecessary power consumption of a terminal by controlling uplink power in consideration of cooperative wireless communications through a plurality base stations. CONSTITUTION: An MS(Mobile Station) calculates a downlink signal attenuation estimated value from a base station controller and at least one neighbor BS(S11). The MS selects or calculates signal attenuation value at a predetermined method through a downlink signal attenuation estimation values. In calculation, most suitable one method is adaptively selected among a plurality of methods. The MS obtains a transmission power value of uplink through the signal attenuation value(S13).
