APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING BREAST CANCER

PURPOSE: A breast cancer diagnosis apparatus and a method thereof are provided to reduce the unnecessary calculation by accurately detecting the size of breast. CONSTITUTION: A breast(114) is inserted into the free space(113) of a tank(111). A plurality of antennas(116) are arranged in the free space of the tank in order to transmit and receive the electromagnetic wave. A plurality of absorbers(112) are attached to the surface of internal wall of the tank. The absorber absorbs the electromagnetic wave emitted to the outside of the breast among the electromagnetic wave emitted from the antenna. A processor diagnoses the breast cancer by processing the amplitude and phase information of the electromagnetic wave received from the antenna. A plurality of sensors(117) are arranged inside the tank. The sensor gets the spatial information of the breast by sensing the boundary coordinate value of the breast.
