<p>In a liquid dispensing system (100) having a dispensing module (104) and a gun manifold (102), the gun manifold (102) includes a shelf portion that extends outwardly from its front face and the dispensing module (104) includes a correspondingly shaped aperture configured to engage the shelf portion so that the dispensing module (104) rests, or hangs, on the gun manifold (102) without being held into place. From this position, the module (104) can be easily and readily attached to the manifold (102). The shelf and aperture have complementary shapes and can be keyed so as to require the mating of the manifold (102) and module (104) in only one orientation. Additionally, an adaptor can be provided between the module (104) and manifold (102) so that smooth face manifolds and modules can still be coupled to corresponding manifolds and modules having shelves or apertures.</p> |
